Den

Connecticut

The clients just purchased their first home and wanted to design a house in it’s entirety to their liking, needs and style. Focusing on neutrals, pattern, contrast and clean lined forms throughout, we created their house into a home that fit their style perfectly.

Each room has a it’s own unique elements while staying true to the overall house design;

To the left is the concept for the Den that evolved into the final design below.

Color, texture, pattern and contrast was brought into the Den with a relaxed, warm, kick your feet up aesthetic.

Living Room

Chic, modern and neutral - the clients wanted a light and airy place to come into when they first walk through the door, and versatile pieces for entertaining that could go from casual Saturday, to dinner party with guests at night. We played with more sophisticated finishes and tones in this room as it was considered more “formal”, yet still welcoming.

Kitchen

Ideas

The kitchen infused more warmth, contrast and texture, complimenting the adjacent Den. The process for each room started with three mood board styles, like shown to the left. The chosen mood board directed the overall style for the space, still in alignment with the overall house palette.

Concept

Once the mood board was chosen, we moved to the concept which included specific product suggestions for the space and started to paint a better picture visually of how the products would look together.

The client chose the black and dark blue style for the kitchen with a mix of woods and deep contrast throughout.

Final Design

Once a final design was landed on after any concept iterations necessary, the design was implemented directly into the client’s space, giving them a clear visual of what the design would look like in their house.

Eye catching lighting and strong contrast captured this kitchen’s presence and lended to the perfect “cool” balance the clients desired.
